TransAsia Airways has selected Rockwell Collins' PAVES™ 2 in-flight entertainment (IFE) with embedded Airshow® 3D Moving Map for six new Airbus A320 aircraft with an option for an additional 12 aircraft.

Rockwell Collins' PAVES 2 overhead IFE enhances the passenger experience with a much wider range of information and entertainment content than previous overhead system offerings while significantly reducing size, weight, and power consumption. The system's High Definition Media Server (HDMS) offers 160 gigabytes of solid state digital audio and video storage capability, integrated pre-recorded announcements and music (PRAM) functionality with embedded Airshow 3D Moving Map, all in a single 4 Modular Concept Unit (MCU), electronics bay-mounted box.
